Irish music carries an emotional force that is both powerful and undeniable. Whether you’re listening to a giddily winding dance tune or a heart-piercing emigration ballad, the visceral effect lingers on well after the notes themselves dissolve. I'd like to introduce you to Music in the GlenAtlanta’s premier traditional Irish band. Between our four members there are a host of instruments represented: fiddles, uilleann pipes, bouzouki, bodhran (traditional goat-skin drum), guitar, whistle, concertina and voice. And to keep things exciting, we mix in some Irish step dancing for good measure choreographed by champion Irish step dancers.

We've played a myriad of festivals, private parties, weddings, pubs and concert halls throughout the Southeast. Whether you’re planning a formal wedding or a large outdoor festival, Music in the Glen guarantees professional musicians performing authentic and quality traditional Irish music.  Make this season special by adding fiery fiddling, haunting uilleann piping, beautiful Irish song and fierce traditional dance to your next event--wow your audience with a special Irish treat!

"FUAR... is a mix of holiday standards and Irish tunes. The mix works beautifully, with instrumentals giving way to light and airy vocals and back again.  After listening to this CD the first time,  I was shocked that this band, which sounds so quintessenially Irish, is from Atlanta, Georgia.  With their traditional sound and damn fine fiddle playing, I expected them to be sheltered away in some gorgeous little town south of County Cork or some such.  But no, for those in the States, they're right here where you can see 'em.  Which is a very good thing if the music on the CD is any guide."

What People are Saying

"I can't thank you enough for making our dreams come true by having pure Irish music possible for our reception.  As I walked in the main entrance of the club I could hear you playing in another room.  My parents and John's mom are in their 80's and know the Irish dancing steps from their youth...He ran in when he heard you play with a big smile on his face...."
